Because its full not overfull!!

Fuel guages are not exactly the most precision of instruments. Some vehicles will have a trimpot adjuster on the fuel tank sender to set the guage. I think you'll find on the E-series its factory preset. If your guage needle shows full with a full tank where is the problem?

Mine shows full even when it 3/4 full, and doesn't go down until it goes below this level

that isn't related to what your fuel guage is showing when you fill it up... 400km is pretty normal for alot of e-series falcons.. i know thats all i get. some people get up to around 550kms so yeah, your car might just be running a bit rich.

lol i've never seen my DTE above 350! Damn it, coming from a gutless 4cyl to my 100kw 6 means I "appreciate" the power more than I should :P

My gauge sits on the notch below Full for about 200km :( DTE is always spot-on though, down to the last 1km :gren:

Your tank should hold 68L, give or take a little. 400km to a full tank is a bit poor! Get that sorted out mate

Yeah, mine sits on full for about 200km before it starts to drop. It's quite depressing when it starts to drop, it just goes quite quickly. My DTE usually reads up till about 550 when I have the tank completely full, but sometimes if I put a little less fuel in, I can get it to 600. :

My DTE usually goes down while I'm driving before it briefly starts going back up. Weird! I have done 600km out of a tank before. My car started beeping at me every 5km, the light was on the dash, and my DTE read 12km. I wouldn't have wanted to drive much further!
