Well the ticking is driving me nuts, so these uni holidays I've decided to do something about it. It only sounds like the one lifter, so whats the better option, replace one with a new one, or get a set of reconditioned? If the latter, where abouts in brissie could I pick up a set of reconditioned lifters to suit an ED? Finally, I'm hopefully putting in a wade 1636 at the same time, so where abouts is the best place to get shims?

Whatever you do, DONT GO TO THE TORQUE TEAM, behind Repco, on Newnham road, Mt Gravatt. They will do a bad job, and rip you off. I have experienced this....
