Default EA water pump into EB..possible?

would a water pump from an ea fit on to my eb if i keep the old pulley and bolt it onto the shaft of the ea pump?:

thought so, just thought that the different belt shapes might mean different pumps. thanks

i have pulled an ED one and it fitted my EA so it will fit (damm EA'S)... never again EB all the way

always advisable to use a new gasket, save doing the job twice, and water pumps are not a fun job. May as well change your coolant while you are at it.

just jump in and have a crack, make sure you remember what order yo do things, its one of the best ways to learn i reckon.

easy,remove radiator,take the fan off,,reverse thread,remove the belts by releasing the tensioners,remove the hose,,undo the three bolts and there ya go,,clean surface area and repalce in reverse order...with new gaskets of course.

you will also want a new o-ring for the heater pipe that the water pump connects to.

no worries,,you should remove the belts after the radiator,,i didn't put it in the right order,,have fun.

just talked to the local wreckers and he said hes got that many falcons around he will just give me a water pump for nothing, but dunno where to get the gasket kit new from. he said he will sell me an ilet manifold for my MPFI conversion for $80 is this a good price

thats a good price,,the gasket can be bought from any auto parts shop,,where are you on the central coast,,roughly.
