Default Space Saver fit?

Probably a dumb question.. but can you fit "normal" (185's) tyres on the Space Saver Rim?

Much cheaper option perhaps?
Especially if the std one is damaged...

I thought the rim was not wide enough to take a decent size tyre. Hence they save space by being thinner. The standard rims are 6-7 inches wide depending on model.

That was my thought. You also can fit a full sized wheel in the spare wheel well. you just loose some depth of the boot & they weigh more. Velociraptor has a full sized spare wheel because of his larger brakes.

Yes you can fit a full size wheel however you'd have to put on a tire with a smaller diamiter so that it will sit flat in the wheel well. I also used some cut down form inserts from an XR5 to level the boot. (It also made the boot sit flush with the back seats when folded down so it worked out quite well. The space within the wheel has also become my spare parts storage for those long trips.

The space savers are something like 5x16 (thats a guess?) and have a smaller tire diamiter than the standard focus tire diamiter. I don't know for certain if 185's would fit as I don't really understand how tire sizes work, however I'd be surprised if it did.
