Anyone done a Cert. III automotive (motorsport) course??

As the topic states has anyone here done a certificate III in automotive (motorsport) or a diploma in automotive (motorsport) here??????
At the Albury-Wodonga tafe campus?????

For those who dont know about the courses:

just wondering what it is like etc???? As i have been extremely keen to do theses courses ever since they had them on RPM a few years back.

Was eyeing this course of since I saw it in the tafe directory but it would be pretty hard as I live a while away.

nope we dont have it here it seems . tho it is canberra 20 years behind anyone else

Nah i think its a specific course only run at that campus. And yeah it was a mini feature on RPM, but yeah it looked awesome, and they travel round with the v8 utes, well they did during sandown last year.
I live a fair distance from their too, but you can stay on the university campus as the tafe and uni share the same campus.

Hey,

I did certificat .II in auto (motorsport). It was an interesting mix of general workshop practice, hands on experience and the occasional meeting with the sppedway and we also did a few odd jobs for the speedway such as an in-chassis rebuild of thier bedford truck. The cert. III is a bit more focused towards motorsport and sports components or and the harder mechanical workings. The course i did was great fun and i really enjoyed it. We did have a few miserable DOLE drop kicks but if we ignored them they ussually go away and leave you to yourself. I would suggest you consider this idea more intensly as it would be a great certificate to have under your belt. If you go through and do cert.IIII afterwards you would be fully qualified to biuld racing competitor motors. That would be fun in an e-series.

Seriously, GO for it mate.

Sounds awesome! If I lived there, I would do it in a heartbeat, for interest alone! Pity they dont have it anywhere else!

Thanks for that R & S CUSTOMS....
When i complete yr 12 at school i will already have my certificate 1 in engineering. As i do a VET course (metals and engineering), its good fun, and i thought i may inquire and see who else has done it and if they enjoyed it.
Well you have made me wanna do it even more now. Thanks, So anyone else done it, or one related to it???
