Question What to check if anything???????

G'Day all,
I have a 99 series 1 with 250k on the clock the old girl runs like a dream but has developed a couple of oil leaks. I know where they are so this is Just a quick Q&A, I have to replace my rocker cover gasket as that is where one of the leaks is, it is at the back left hand side, is there anything that I should check whilst the cover is off.

thanks in advance
Whiskers

See if there is any oil sludge buildup around the valvetrain or on the underside of the rocker cover

Check if there is a leak from the cam chain tensioner as well ... at the front of the engine ... behind the power steering reservoir bracket ... on the driver's side of the engine ... this is another common place for leaks to occur.

While you have the intake off ... clean the throttle body butterfly and Idle Control Solenoid out with Carby Cleaner.

I am sure there's probably a few other little things that could be done as well ... I just can't think of them off the top of my head at the moment.
