Hi everyone,
This is our 2005 Ford Focus CL hatch
I don't know if everyone will like the wing, it's a full on racing wing by Ford Racing.
Even Lorraine doesn't like the wing...LOL
The bodykit is out there, the body kit did come with side skirts, wing and back bumper.

Bodykit looks nice bar the hood. Not a fan of the rear lights but they look alright I guess. The wing though... spells rice. But thats just me. I mainly prefer a sleeper look.

It is hard to find a good looking bodtkit for a Ford Focus. I've seen every single bodykit on the market.
I could only get those tail light at the time.
thanks for the reply back.
I'm glad you you like the front half...LOL

It's kinda like my steak....I like it well done...lol

If you ever hear of a polyeurothane bodykit keep well away from it. That's what this one is and no-one....and I mean NO-ONE....knew what to do with it here in Brissy. The paint cracks easily and it's really heavy.....weighs a tonne. And the double sided tape you put it on with doesnt do much. We had to put it on with silicone.

No, he meant Rice...

Here's the Wikipedia definition for Rice Burner.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rice_burner

I have previously said I'm not a fan of huge bodykits but I appreciate the effort you've put into it and I know very few people have the balls to mod their car that much! If it has the guts to match the gear, then you can laugh everyone off anyway!

Shopping Trolley

The front looks OK (front bumper might be too much for me)... overall it is very Rice though. HOWEVER, In saying that it is different and growing on me. I still like the more 'clean' look of other Focuss though. But hey - it is your car!

Still - doesn't look too bad, and the rims help it look good. I think you just need to clean the front wheels of brake dust

Thanks mate. Now I understand what you mean by Ricey. We are still working on the engine. There is a lot that I want to do to it so I can race it. So when it's finished it'll have guts........trust me I laugh now with all the looks I get...lol
Everything I have put on so far are all Ford aftermarket parts so it's not a bitsa....lol

It's not brake dust actually. Wish it was would be able to clean it off then. We had a problem with the brakes and within a matter of a few weeks they went metal on metal and it put metal deposits on the rims and no one can clean them off. When I rang OZ racing they said the only thing that could be done was repainting them but it wouldn't really be worth doing because of the cost. Bit of a bugger can tell you that.

your future mods don't really make any sence...
not trying to be a jerk or anything but what are you trying to build?

"Future engine upgrade: 70mm Mustang throttle body, manifold, 4-2-1 race header, camgear and 8000rpm camshaft, underdrive crank pully, Intake valve and Exhaust valve, 450" lift valve spring, 24ibs racing injector, all by Ford Racing.
Rods handling over 400 lb ft of torque, pistons ( 86mm, 8.8:1 ) tested at over 500 HP. and exhaust by Cosworth"

A 70mm tb is far to big for any Zetec unless it's pushing over 300+fwhp
You say you are getting a 4-2-1 race header and a single cam gear and 8000rpm cam, 450" lift springs and the 24lb/hr injectors then rods and low compression pistons...?
24lb/hr injectors are good for about 160-170fwhp... and are starting to max out at that point.
You need 2 cam shafts and cam gears for the Zetec and cams have little to nothing to do with twisting your engine to 8000rpm, more so, why would you want to twist a Zetec to 8000rpm?
450" lift springs? umm, ok, and?
rods and 8.8:1 pistons for 400lb/ft and 500hp? sweet, what good are they going to do you with that low compression on what apears to be an engine built for NA? you're not going to see power like that out of a Zetec NA and deffinately not with 8.8:1 while NA. but the mods you have listed in the first half of your future mods would pretty much be worthless if you went with a turbo to justify that sort of compression...

perhaps you can enlighten me, i'm baffled as to what you are planning?

I reckon you should have gone with the WRC wing instead of that thing on the back.

I can't get a Ford Focus WRC wing
If I could get 1, it would be on by now.
I'm sure the cops would target us. And every man and the dog trying to race me...teehee
I shouldn't have that wing on our car, it's for off road use only...lol

Wings West make the WRC style big wing. They make the whole wide RS WRC bodykit actually. So why dont you buy that? You can get Wings West gear in this country you know. Only problem you might run into would be fitting the body kit (front and rear) As our focus's are a tad different to the US ones in that regard. But should be no problem fitting the awsome wing. Costs a bit $$$ o cash tho.

I know there is a dealer in NSW for wings west.
The problem buying 1 piece off a bodykit is that it'll cost more.
So if I brought hood, front and rear bumper, side skirts from different companys, it's not worth it
I didn't have a problem fitting on the bodykit on the sedan or hatch.
I was abit worryed that it wouldn't fit.
The wing from wings west is the best 1 on the market, that's if you want a big wing on the back...LOL

The hatch made 73kw@ the wheel on the 1st run
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2325994
I wasn't expecting alot being honest, We were the winers in the 4 cylinder class. we were only 4 cylinder class there...LOL

Next upgrade:
I have ordered 2 1/4 inch flex pipe, 4-2-1 1.5/8" primary tubes race header and Cosworth T409 stainless steel 2.5" race high-flow cat back exhaust
It's going to go like a Zirtek...LOL
