dont know about you guys but I reckon I'd be better off going to tempre tyres and getting a set of 17inch rims with rubber cheaper than forking out $1,100 for these second hand rims and then $$$ for rubber for em

Yeah tempting but not for that price. I'll stick to 16's with sticky rubber.

He's at it again. Someone is modding their ST170!!!
Springs - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....sPageName=WDVW Rims (now $1,000) - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....sPageName=WDVW Those springs are tempting for $100... Looking at his purchase history, I feel sorry for that ST... it'll be lowered, prolly on 18's and is being riced up with tail lights... I hope he does it tastefully and not OTT!!!!! :

Very tempting for the springs but I think I'll wait and do it properly - new shocks too.

They'd be a good spring to get, my only hesitation is the 20,000km. Otherwise it's an absolute bargain for some decent factory springs purpose designed for a Focus.

You reckon those wheels'd fit a Fiesta Mat?
Just a thought, I dont like the design much but if they went any cheaper i'd look into it. |

I believe I've seen them on Mk 6 Fiestas yes. Try UKFN, but I'm only unsure about the offset... might be too wide.

From memory brand new ST rims from Ford Spares are around about $200 each, possibly less than that. My MP3's were $170 each.

that would most certainly be WITHOUT tubber for $200. You'd be looking around a $200 price per tyre...

nah just wanted to confirm, so if you went to Ford you would get the same rim but $50 per rim cheaper...then you still have to get your rubber onto it.....
so I would still think going out to tempe tyres and getting a 17inch rim package would be a suitable alternative plus you get individual styling then in addition than standard focus rims.

I think the prices on Genuine Ford Focus rims are amazing - by FAR the cheapest 17" factory rim for any car I'd say. I planon getting another 4 MP3 rims before they become ONR and NLA, just in case of gutter scrapes etc etc.

I'm absolutely positive when I looked them up on Microcat they were less than $560. Could be wrong but I'll see what I can find tomorrow.

Well. Don't listen to a word I say from now on.:
Seems FSP have jumped their price a little on the now superceded rims - Im being honest when I say Im sure they were around $250/rim not THAT long ago, but as has been said, looked 'em up today and was greeted with a lovely figure twice that much. Best I can do is probably around $460 per rim and even then I'd have to pull some very big strings. Parts Numbers for those who wanted them: Wheel: 2M5V1007BD Cap: 2M5V1000CB Sorry to get you all excited :

Just a query regarding spring heights, they way I understand it is (from highest to lowest):
CL/LX (highest) Zetec (Lower) ST 170 (Lower still) Is that right, or do ST170's use the same springs as Zetecs?

Zetec are 10mm lower than CL from memory. Not sure if ST is 13 mm lower than Zetec or lower than CL. I would not be surprised at all if it's lower than Zetec, thus 23mm over a CL.

Pretty sure you're right about the Zetecs being 10mm lower, i know the LS ones are so you'd expect it to be the same. 23mm lower doesnt seem right tho, just looking at some pics of Zetecs with the 17's and no bodykit (like mine) and they dont look all that different to my ride height?
Im just worried my little query (which you know about) may be wasted because it wont make that much difference.
