Doubt it, the Magna should beat you , short gearing, little drivetrain loss, nice gearbox and a revvy 3.5 (with around 155kw) will smoke you, even in Manual. EA 3.9 MPFI manuals are fast but it just wont be enough.

You should be the integra easily though.

i cried one night when i only had exhaust and extractors....

Literally cried.

They are light, and quick. They dont look it, hoons dont drive em, but they beat most stock commos and earlier falcs.

Well ive driven three 3rd gen magna's and all of them were reasonably quick. I must admit i havent driven a Magna manual, but have driven a '01 TJ Magna Wagon (4sp trippy) and it felt reasonably fast and the '02 TJ sedan i drove was a bloody weapon.

Now if the magna was a 3.0l auto or manual id expect you to beat it but the 3.5's are quick and in manual form i dont like your odds.

*Just did a check of Redbook and the 3.5 TH has 147kw and 300nm of torque in a 1490kg body- so there light buggers and they respond well to exhausts

Can say from experience that my EB, Man Wgn used to eat up 3.5l Magna's daily. I had quite a few mates with them for company cars and we played plenty. This question has been raised quite a few times and once I thought I'd get together the spces from the 4 & 6 cyl Magna's and also from the EB. I didn't post the info cause it was detrimental to my point that the right E series was a quick thing in the right hands lol. I might add that my wagon, allthough stock, was always a big eye opener from people who assumed it would be slow. Alway's got the comment that it must have been built on a Wednesday too! Man I loved that car!

Mate has a 1999 Mits Vereda V6 and it beats my 1995 Ford EF Fairmont - both stock except for lowered and sports suspension

It also keeps up with my old man's 2002 Nissan Maxima

Now the Maxima is a weapen in stock form but his Vereda is keep up

I dont think you have a chance against it even if its a Wagon

If ya EA motor is in good nick and still got decent compression i would say it would be close. 5spd manual EA with a strong motor are pretty quick in stock form. 15.5 down the quarter, although you would be hard pressed finding a stock one putting out those times now since there 18years old.

I beat my mates 00 magna off the lights the other day in an ED 4.0L on gas, only cause it was wet and he couldn't get traction though, wheels were spinning till 3rd gear change.

they are quick cars, but off the line they suffer from too much wheelspin.

I had a 00' TJ magna dumped on 17 inch prowlers with 2.5" cat back system and running firestone tyres.
Hit the peddle one saturday night in hindly street and bent a drive shaft which in turn damaged the trans.
Sold that straight away.
But they are pretty quick

They are fairly quick cars, i have driven a manual one before. What's your diff ratio? I don't think you have much of a chance if you have the 2.92, but definately some hope if you have the 3.23 or 3.27.. and that's coz your car is manual.

Something to do with front wheel drive probably. But the Ralliart magna is not too bad for what it is and has some cred in my book. AWD, 180KW, big brakes...

No such thing as an AWD Ralliart. It was FWD. The fastest AWD Magna is the 163kw Sports/VRX version.

Hmm I'm gonna go with the Magna on this one but I do hate Magnas. BTW they lose respect mostly because they're FWD pieces of ИИИИ.

My cousin's EB wagon has been proven on a number of occasions to be significantly faster than a VT Commodore. The guy was not happy. Three runs and three times he loses in his dunnydore which sounded a lot like someone throwing cutlery into garbage disposal unit.
