I've had a magpie end up in the same exact place, but it managed to find its way up to the upper grill, and was still alive. Managed to get it out from behind the headlight, with the damn thing trying to peck my hand to death.

I had a similar experience earlier this year with a F@#$%* dove.
A bit groggy when i got him out, but soon came to. Dropped him off at a 24hr vet. Last edited by Pinkbits; 18-08-2010 at 04:43 PM. |

I had a magpie go into my grill once, my car ate him from behind, I'd guess he was flying at 60 and I was doing maybe 100. Was stuck tail first with his head out going crook, I bent the grill open and he flew out no problems!

The koala was cut from the grill with bolt cutters....

heh, funny about the koala story, one of our cabs had the same thing happen to it about 5 years ago
driver braked for koala, one unharmed koala hanging off a slightly damaged AUII grille
