You are not legally allowed to do it as the emergency services must have a way of getting access in the event of an accident. Some show cars that have it done have it operating via remote or hidden release (they are show cars and not daily drivers). If you want the ambos wondering where the remote release is while you are not breathing, go ahead. Just make sure you get that window tint that is intrusion resistant so we have a really hard time. Dumb idea!

Yeah great, we will find that in the dark once you have put your car down an embankment. At least we will have something to laugh at, that would tickle our funny bone, I would even nominate you for a Darwin award.

only pic i could find on short notice kinda hard to see bad pic
you simply puch that down and the door opens rather than pull a handle

I don't get it, you want to lose a nicely molded fitting and replace it with a dicky pin sticking out of a sill. I fail to see how emergency services are going to find it in low light situations. I think modifying to a later model door handle that is more flush fitting would be a better idea.

Besides that, I am thinking one word, RICE

its been debaged, no line down where the door handles go.
door handes removed.
the bodykit is the V8 supercar inspired one with the 4 exhaust holes, semi custom front bar to house intercooler.
20" chrome rims, turbo install with sports cream seats, custom back seat and painted white interior.
the guy purchased it like that so the old owner did all the work.

whats most amusing, all these people get custom seats n stuff, and don't even bother with the rear power windows or don't use decent door trims.

In the end, whatever floats your boat, it is your car. Even though I may not like your door handles i will probably like other elements and will certainly tell you.
My major objection is that I see them as a safety issue and I know how hard it can be to get someone out of a car when it is standard, without modifications complicating the whole situation. The chances are that you will never be in that situation and I really hope not. If you are and I turn up on scene (impossible, different states) I have a really big maglight that will meet your rear window, just would be nicer if I could lift the door handle and get you out in half the time.

Shoey
I have not done it to a E-series But i have done it to a XD before and it was sweet I have thought about doing it to my EL but im just going to wait till my next project build. If you want any more pics let me know

http://photobucket.com/albums/b229/E...withSkullL.jpg

All it is is a $10 door lock skull knobs and a longer rod in the door
you lift it up and the door opens (never broke a door handle in 4 years.. Haha ) what i did do was put new bushers in the door hingers they are plastic and about $1.70 each from ford .... as you see i did the hole door with no center ridge line as well .. if i was to do it to a E-Series i would do the same thing and doing the door handle is even easyr as they can just be pushed down .. and yes it is o.k. by vic roads as the law states that you must have a leaver latch button or switch to get into the driver door ... i understand what gecko is saying about if you crash i thought about it as well but if you did crash and you could not open the door then how else would you get out .. along comes the s.e.s. (was me) and cut/pop door to get you out..
