Hey guys, just picked up a 1980 Ford Escort GL 2.0 Litre 4 speed manual, just wanted to know what fuel you guys run and how many k's per tank? Petrol gauge is playing up a bit! Cheers

I run BP98. The super fuel we all used to buy was 96 octane, so generic premium at 95 octane is abit low and you car can ping using it. Also I get about 400km's per tank.

City driving I think i'd get about 450 ish a tank.
At the moment with some good long highway driving and a bit of city driving I am on 420km with a quater of a tank left. I think pure highway driving could get about 600ish from the 56 liter tank. |

Just been running it on shell 95 and has been going great, hopefully my shed gets finished this week so i can get in there and detail it, hopefully post some pics early next week

Also hit 315km for half a tank (240 freeway, 75 short trips) |

My gauge is a bit dodgy to (stops working at about 2/3s of a tank) so i just set the trip metre when i fill im getting about 10.5l/p100ks round town & having fun motor standardish
