"The facelifted 2016 Lexus LX570 has been revealed today, following more than a month of leaked photos and spilled information.
The updated Lexus LX570 was revealed at The Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance in California alongside the new GS200t luxury sedan, ahead of the arrival of both new models in Australia in December 2015. The changes to the new LX are marked, with the Japanese company stating that only the doors and the roof are unchanged, while the styling modifications are fairly substantial. There’s a bold new front-end design with a sharp “spindle” grille that brings the big bus into line with some of the more aggressively styled offerings in the brand’s range, including its two smaller SUV siblings the NX and RX. Under the bonnet, the 5.7-litre V8 petrol engine remains, but instead of the existing six-speed automatic, there’s a new eight-speed auto. It’s unclear if there have been any changes to the power outputs of the engine, which in the current model are 270kW and 530Nm. That eight-speed auto should have an impact on fuel consumption, which is currently claimed at 14.8 litres per 100 kilometres. There’s also a new Drive Mode Select system that can change the way the powertrain behaves, and also alter the suspension character, too. There’s the choice of new-look 20-inch split 10-spoke wheels, or optional 21-inch rims for those after a more “commanding road presence”. Inside there are some major differences between the new version and the old, such as an updated media system with a large 12.3-inch screen and Lexus‘ remote touch interface, while the driver information screen is bigger now, too (4.2-inch). See below for a list of the new items on offer in the LX. Lexus Australia chief executive Sean Hanley stated that the facelifted LX and GS will add some extra flair to the brand’s local line-up. “LX 570 and the new GS Line including GS 200t continue Lexus’ product-led strategy, delivering with confident new styling, performance, technology and luxury features,” Hanley said. “We look forward to introducing these new models to the Australian market in December.” New additions for the 2016 Lexus LX570: • Eight-speed automatic transmission replaces six-speed unit • Restyled front end with one-piece spindle grille • Drive mode select • LED headlights, sequential turn signals and fog lights • Revised tail-lights and rear bumper • New 20- and 21-inch wheel designs • Standard Lexus Safety System + • Standard upgraded multimedia with 12.3-inch screen and Remote Touch Interface • Larger 4.2-inch multi-information display • Standard panoramic-view monitor • Standard heads-up display • Three-spoke wood-trimmed steering wheel • Available ventilated/heated rear seats • LED ambient lighting in cabin and cargo area • Touch-sensor overhead lighting • Manual second-row sunshades • Standard wireless charging tray for Qi-compatible phones • Larger 11.6-inch screens for standard rear-seat entertainment system • Tyre-specific tyre pressure monitoring system • Standard blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert • Standard Lexus Enform Remote" http://www.caradvice.com.au/lexus/lx570/

I nearly threw-up my lunch! What a horrendous looking thing. And am I missing something with those engine specs? The power outputs and fuel consumption seem very off the pace for a 5.7 in 2015

Besides the LSA, Lexus/Toyota's engines aren't exactly world beaters in power. Just about every engine they make is well behind the competition.
The Corolla only has 100 kw when most of it's competitors are over 130, and are more economical to boot. |

i think lexus is more about smoothness than big power figures, i`d have one in a second , but i agree, the front end has a bit of mongrel in it.

i think in the article they where referring to the current models fuel consumption with the 6 speed auto , which i reckon is pretty dam good if correct, considering its pulling around just under 3 ton (2750 (kg)) and its only using about one litre more than my 4.0 l v8 sedan, or 2.2 litres more than my 1580 kg 4.0 litre falcon.
