Hey all,
Basically I'm selling the ute in the next few weeks (PM's welcome if your interested : ) My upgrade (downgrade if you ask my mates) choices are: 1. new Zetec w/ upgraded stereo & auto. i was going to option curtain airbags but they tell me that'll mean i'll need to wait for 1 to be made, 8-10 weeks : 2. New TDCi w/ upgraded stero, 6spd manual is only option, ESP (DSC for those not in the know LOL) & various little things. Basically just looking for peoples opinions if anybody else has had to make the same choice. Auto or manual doesn't bother me. Auto would be handy for when the lady needs to drive. I did really like the torque of the TDCi as the 2.0L petrol was a little lacking. So yeh... help is appreciated! Sorry to steal BrisVegas's photo's but i'm looking for something that looks as hot as this!!!

you could always get some nice alloys onto the TDCI, cos i dunno if they have them stock. But the TDCI would definitely be the way to go in my opinion, after driving a 97' Peugeot 1.9 turbo diesel. I still miss that car. And as you said, the zetec would be a bit lacking. Go Diesel's!

Zetec has my vote. may be lacking now, but think of the potential! Oh, and don't be tight.. wait for the airbags, it will be worth every day of the 8 week wait if you get T-Boned by some spanker who decides that red lights dont apply to him.

I'm looking for something that's comfy and nice to drive. It's toooooooo easy to be bad with my ute. :togo: Good point you make about the airbags though!

IMHO I'd go the Mondeo Turbo Diesel.

it's a much nicer car. The hatch had great space too!
but for 10k extra, i might as well just keep the ute.
