Lift-Off oversteer if your friend. Fit a 40mm rear sway bar and you'll be sideways in no time.

You beat me to it. Lift-off oversteer my friend, although the XR5 is a little nose heavy, it does slide nicely and has plenty of power.

You want lift off oversteer, drive a Pug 206 GTi or an LR Focus Zetec/ST170... yee haa

There's no substitue for lift off. Handbrakes are for dirt roads!! Lift off is easily adjustible, handbrakes are like sliding with a sledgehammer

Lovely Lovely piccy indeed!

I have the same feelings most of the time with mine.
But then you are saving wasting those pricey tyres away.

Standard LS's can get sideways unprovoked, 42psi in the rears 35psi in the front seems to do it. I can tell you now don't use the handbrake in a "dipper" turn going up a mountain pass. Your headlights will be replaced by your tail lights.

I found you can get the tail out of focus with 36all round all with a well executed Scandinavian flick.

Pieoter, top copying clarkson's sayings.

Photn, the fiesta can get lift off oversteer.

you just have to make the suspension a little stiffer for it to really work well.

Approach the corner hard on the throttle, as you get closer to the corner back off a little bit and balance the throttle to maintain decent speed (but keep your foot on the throttle to balance the car), once you have started to turn into the corner lift your foot off the throttle and be prepared for some sideways action.

As the rear slides re apply the throttle and steer yourself out of it.

Luke I think you need something like this to get it right. Remember in one of these there is no "IF ONLY." It's only when you put your foot down :P

Well now everyone knows where we are going for our Melbourne Cruise, people better start to attend them

Especialy when it's not your car!!!!! Besides, neither Adam nor I have balls big enough to do that. Not in a Typhoon anyway!

It's also not the same spot, but a similar looking one in the same area of Melbourne.

Nah, you'd never get a break in the traffic that long to park on the Black Spur.

Notice the yellow paint, that's an Alpine road... it's the hillclimb up to Lake Mountain. 22km stunner with a 100km/h speed limit.
