When out & about in beautiful Morwell this morning, I stumbled across a rather interesting EL. It was two-tone with burgundy on top and gloss grey for the lower bumpers/doors. It had SPIRIT below the RHS taillight, and SPIRIT on both lower rear doors with an early 60s style falcon emblem surrounding the word.
These decals were quite subtle, but the two tone really stood out, kind of like a VR Calais. Was this a special edition? No pix were taken because the forums isn't smart enough to upload holographs taken on my Nokia 3310. -Dave- |

It was the word SPIRIT which caught my attention (well, after noticing the two-tone paintjob), as I initially thought it said SPRINT myself!
The car was grandpa spec, it had Futura hubcaps, 4WD ride height, and a sunvisor. I didn't check out the interior, but the front seats had blue lambswool covers on them (probably a grandpa aftermarket rice (buckwheat?) option) I don't have anything against lambswool covers though, I'm a pro-grandpa kinda guy :king: |

Well, Spirit was a Toyota dealer option of the mid 90's on many a corolla, camry etc..
maybe a Toyota dealer had some decals laying around and put them on a wreck he fixed up and sprayed the bottom half silver ??

I don't recall seeing "Limited Edition" on the bumper/sides of this EL, but I might keep my camera in the car from now on, as I've seen that car around several times, but I hadn't walked past it until this morning, hence me noticing the decals.
And all you ED_bois... get an EB1 up ya! : |
