Default [Syd] Photoshoot for club members

All,
I'm trying to get an idea of how many people would be interested in a professional photoshoot for their cars.

I have another professional photographer, of V8 supercar fame and myself (ANDRA accredited Media Photographer) working together, so we will be able to capture the best of your 'beasts'.

Chris also has a professional rig to get those awesome shots whilst driving. Between us we reckon 2 angles on the rig and some static shots, professionally done would work out to be around $50 if we can get 15-20 cars to do in the day(to make it worthwhile).

Are there any takers as Chris would have to come from Wollongong and I have to come from near Newcastle.

you can check out Chris' work on www.chrisdobie.com and mine on www.polepositionimages.com

Once we can get an idea of numbers, Dan we will set a date with you to make an official Club event.

Hope this is ok guys, just thought you deserve some decent shots of your cars ;)
Regards
Mick

was thinking mid-late October'ish?

I have also had interest from another club should we not be able to get the numbers, so I'm thinking this may be popular.

Its a pitty we couldn't get it sorted before detailing day as this would be a great way of ensuring nice clean cars.

Whats a good location Dan, was thinking Homebush might be ok?

homebush is OK, but too many things around (lighting etc)

If you are doing a night shoot, there are some great industrial locations in silverwater (right near homebush) that you could use.

Nice wide streets, some good dark spots and good backdrops like factory walls etc

Hey just thought you might wanna check it out - in Castle Hill there are alot of new big business blocks in the Industrial area with heaps of space - 2-3 levels (so you can get good high angle shots) and most of them have been open for less then a year so they are still very clean

Sgtbourne- you probably know of them, in the back street just past Power Ford? its where i took my last photos

Yeah i know that area pretty well. (used to work there)

plus the home maker centre (if the car park stays open @ night?) and of course castle towers roof top car park.

Macquarie centre roof top car park is good if empty

I know the area too ;) right near Intune...lol
I reckon a nice rig shot looks way better than any night shot.

Checkout Chris' website for his rig shots to give you an idea of what I mean.

Sounds like a great idea Mick and am keen. The only trouble is when to orgainise.

There is plenty happening with the club between now and the end of the year. We try to keep the last half of December free, as we all know how crazy that gets and January relatively clear as most people are away.

Just read through your other thread Mick and I understand now. Individual photos of club cars not a club photoshoot with all cars.

Maybe you should delete this thread to save the confusion of having 2 threads for the one thing. !!
