On my Falcon ED classic GLi I am wanting ti fit a trip computer.
Do I need a wiring loom everywhere I've looked I have yet to see one being sold with a wiring loom. Also I took of the boot release button with the empty space next to it for another button and I was suprised to see that it had a wiring plug going to the empty button as well as the Boot release. What is this for and since the wiring is there is it as simple as putting a switch there? |

And NO, it won't work if you fit the switch. Need to get a new fuel door without the finger lip, release solenoid, saftey release boot wire etc etc.. to make it work. Go to the wreckers and have a look at a fairmont model, give you an idea.. |

Yeah I din't think I'll bother with the fuel dooor release seems very pointless to me.
In that link that trip computer has a plug in the back of it with 12 wires coming out of it. Everyone I've seen only has the trip computer itself. When I ask them to include the loom they all say it's to much effort to pull it out of the dash. |

So I have to get one of those loom things with the 12 wires on it like in the tutorial on fordmods? Are they fairly easy to install? |
