Well, I'm bored and ready for sleep, but I've been blessed with the task of securing Enemy Territory: Quake Wars keys for myself and a couple of friends due to my being blessed with unemployment and due to the fact we don't know exactly WHEN they're being released each day.
Its not the first All-Nighter I've pulled by far, but I think its one of the most trivial reasons I've done it! So what have you guys stayed up all night for out of the ordinary?

My baby won't go to sleep. I am playing him a Jackson Brown CD. He's looking at the computer right now, at least he's quiet.

I've done it because... well... for no reason! Usually I do it if I've stuffed my sleeping pattern. You know... all nighter then go to bed at 8pm the next night. Makes a good routine.

I'm shocking with my sleeping pattern. When I was off work for a few weeks I ended up waking at 5pm and sleeping around 6-7am in the morning for no reason. Even now i'm still up, haha. The reason? I'm looking at properties in the Caribbean and marveling at how freakin cheap they are. Also looking at rods and trying to figure out what career path I wanna do!
Ha. Been plenty of all nighters with parties and the like.. Worst thing about it is not knowing when you're sober to drive home the next day =/ |

In my old house i used to stay up all night in the garage on occasion playing with or cleaning the falcon. at around 8.30am-ish i'd just open the back door and crash out on the back seat. Only crap thing about workin all night on the car is the cold, engine parts and cold hands don't mix too well.
speaking of sleep, i'm off. - Legion |

I got some old shoes and put a 1 inch platform on one shoe and painted them up, then gave them to her telling her that these shoes should help her because i thought she had 1 leg shorter than the other. She looked at me strange and asked why, when replied i thought she was always running around in circles that was it. shoe fights on now. goodnight all |

Well, it turns out my mate in our social group's irc channel was having us on when he said that the Beta Keys for the game were out for people who didn't pay for subscriptions for FilePlanet. So in fairness to the channel we both paid for subscriptions and got Beta Keys. The rest of the guys are going to be spewing when they wake up to find we have keys and they don't :P
Well, that's it from me, I'm hitting the sack now. Thanks for the laughs in your post Doc

Ive done it at parties because theres no where to sleep or if im out with the crew a couple of us will stay up, but its always a crappy idea cause the whole next day is stuff cause everyone is too tired to do anything haha
Another one was back in the day when I think I was about 9ish and we got a SNES and me and dad stayed up all night playing Mario All Stars Lost Levels (anyone who knows that game knows its f**ing hard lol) good times that was Matt |

I have to do an all nighter pretty much.
Today I woke up at 1:45 am, went to work, home at 12:30ish, Ill now pack the car and go from Brisbane to Mullumbimby, set up, and play a gig, finish at 12, pack the car, have a beer with the band, that stage its 1:30, back in the car, and come home, stopping for maccas somewhere, and itll be 4:00 am, so Ill probably jump on AFF, and see whats going on, then down to the bako for breakfast, and then home for bed. Then up by 9:00 so I can mow the lawn and stuff. Then skidpan on sunday, WOO HOO!!

Stupidest reason for me pulling all nighters every night = work.
Also what pub in Mullumbimby are you playing monty? I live there, although have to work tonight so won't be able to come see your band.

so then WHY are men so insistant that they are too lazy to walk to the fridge and get a beer? And delegate the task to someone else, more often than not the closest unwilling female nearby?
