I agree, it is not something I'd like to be involved it..... but then again, I wouldnt want to be involved in the repression of a person's right to practice freedom of religion either.

I dont like the idea of Germany heading down the track of religious persecution... again. It didnt come to any good in 1939 and it wont come to any good now.

Flappist is on the money, and the i believe scientology or whatever it is, has been passed by the high court as a religion per say in australia ? but may be wrong.

Officially the only difference between a cult and a religion is the amount of people following it. In that case every religion in the world was, at some point, a cult.
Personally I think Scientology is a absolute farce and a load of bollocks.. but I also believe that the separation between church and state should be total and any government that bans the freedom of religion (where that religion has done nothing to break the law) is just as dangerous. Look back in history and see that its been done before with the Jews, the Lutherans and even the Catholics. All now considered mainstream religions.
