Default Diy

So, many of you are probably like me and enjoy just tinkering with cars, doing small things here are there that either look good, make the car run a bit better, increase kW, whatever.

So, in looking for ideas of stuff to do to my car myself at home. I thought I'd come on here and get yas to post up pictures or something and a little write up on what you have done.

I need a little inspiration

here is something I did using a can of matt plastic paint from super cheap, some bog & some sandpaper. Nice and cheap, and I think it looks fair good.

So post away!

Not meaning to sound rude mate, but why that colour? And why do the same to your grille? (going by avatar)

Definitely not my style either, but I'd say he did it because he likes it!

Something I did back in October... Quick (half an hour), simple, cheap (cost me $25), effective.

Colours look a lot different on a lid than they do when they are actually sprayed on something. I like it though!

I'm gonna paint the grill black again, looks better!

I want to add more colour to my interior, Possibly some white or blue gauge faces off ebay. Can you put coloured Leds in the dash? As well as painting the dash fascia. (I did that in my old EA, wasn't exactly a...pro job)

How hard is it to remove the rocker cover (I6) clean it up, and whatever needs to be done to spray paint it? I know you can get High temp paint pretty cheap...

What about replacing the air box with a pod & heatshield?

Maybe I should call this thread "Best car mods for under $100 bucks"

There's a dash LED tech document on fordmods I think ;)

Lots of people have cleaned up/polished/sprayed their rocker cover. Two people that come to mind are SnyperEB for a painter cover and shuresm58 for a polished one, maybe contact them?

Airbox >> pod & heatshield. There's a thread or ten on this in the tech section

Why dont you pop the ford badge out of grille and get the grille centre chromed. I reckon it would look really good.
