Default Brake Lights not working on AU Falcon Series 1

Just found out today my brake lights are not working (all 3 of them, left, right & spoiler)

So i kinda figure there must be a problem with the wiring or something, cuz i checked the fuse and it was fine..

What is this brake switch i hear so many people talking about and where abouts is it?

Also is there anything else i can check?

I am getting a mate to replace my rotors and pads tomorrow (not because of this, but because my rotors are severely warped) Just wondering, is there anything i can get him to check for while he is doing it?

My reverse lights and tail lights work fine

I tink 1 way to check if your brake switch is working is to (if you have cruise control) turn on cruise and see if it cuts out when you touch the brake.......Not sure if this will work it's just a suggestion

Actually, just unplug the brake switch at the pedal, and connect the wires in the plug - if the brakes light up, then the switch is dead.

Probably wasn't loose, they just f%#@ up. Had mine stuff up, and my car is still covered by extra warranty, took it to ford for other warranty work, and they replaced it while they were going (not covered, then tried to charge me!)

warped rotors can be machined if plenty of meat is left. pads can be linished if plenty is left too.

Default Re: Brake Lights not working on AU Falcon Series 1

My falcon au series 2 has no brake lights when I hit the brakes. It lights up when I turn on the headlight switch. IT does not get brighter when I hit the brakes. Replaced the switch with a brand new switch. Checked fuse and is OK, Took it to a tyre and brake specialist and he said I have to go to auto electrician to get it checked out. Can anyone help me to see if there is anything else I could check?
