I am thinking of getting a WA Festiva to drive to work 15km round trip.
I currently use the wifes commodore but she whinges about it as i say she can't take the GT, i'll drive home swap cars and she can have hers back but its a pain anyway i can get a base model 1989 WA festy for under $500, and with full comp insurance, 12 months rego and greenslip it will be $970 per year or $19 per week I use $50 per week on fuel now in the wifes car so i will on paper save money and be able to park a 3.9m long car easier than a 5.3m long commodore wagon should i do it? i don't like to commit to early

yeah but not sure if i can handle driving it, i did have a 2000 model festiva once and hated the high driving position plus not a fan of the bubble shape i like the boxy old shape, i guess i'll drive it and see what i think

1989?
That's a 25 year old car. I know it's cheap. I know it will run cheap. But a25 year old car is not what I would consider safe. You may need to factor that in to your decision. Good luck. |
