Default LV TDCI intercooler hose

Morning Gents,

I just found out that the intake intercooler hose of my mothers LV 2.0lt TDCI Focus has a large crack in it and needs to be replaced.

I just rang Ford and they want $335 for the single hose. If that hose is dead the other one from the turbo wont be too far away from needing to be replaced.

Has anyone replaced the turbo to intercooler and intercooler to intake hoses and found another supplier other than Ford.

Only $100 odd dollars delivered on ebay for the shorter hose that I need but from oversea's with unknown deliver period.

If there isnt another cheaper option I may just bite the bullet and build the intake pipes out of aluminum bends

I had all mine done years ago on my LV TDCI but out of stainless steel at an exhaust shop, it now just has sillicone joiners between stainless steel pipes.

Unfortunately my intake to turbo pipe is toasted going from the airbox to the turbo intake and its no longer available, nor do wreckers have stock in the country, it also has a strange flange on it.

Thanks for the reply.

Going to buy a generic intercooler piping kit on evilbay and cut and TIG the pipes to suit. Will be able to replace both the pipes for less than the cost of one.
