Default Morgan Park

As all of you have been sent the e-mail about the next 6's verses 8's it's time to put your money where your mouth is and get that deposit in so we can all enjoy another great club event at the track and kick some 6's butt : It is not that often we will get to do some track work and enjoy our cars to the extreme so lets have some numbers :eclipsee_

Dean speaketh the truth. I am a gnats whisker of calling it off. Yet again you don't have to race, you can go as hard as you feel comfortable with. Read your email, and give it a go. A good time for all is promised.

Yes it has gone up a little bit from last time SO WHAT we need days like this , a bit of good old fashion rivalry in good humour and a great social aspect to boot so come on all clubbies get behind the hard working committee that does a fantastic job to bring us these events the amount is not excessive for you to compete if you want and as the email said the more cars there is the price will drop
As the last team captain of the 8's I would rather lose because of the whipping by the 6 team than lose by the lack of enthusiam
C'mon guys and gals we all need you it is not about an all out assault on the track it is a place to have fun

Where did you send them Ken?
Repeated requests for membership detail & forms have been unforthcoming.

Neither myself or Jason, the other driver Tori invited have recieved them to either the Post Office Boxes nor the email addresses given to you.

It is not hard to find me, try this one:

G'day again,

Just checking through my PMs here and I sent one to you about Membership and cost of joining the club which was a reply to your PM entitled "Fees" on 05 Dec 05. The tracking reciept says you never opened it so I am reluctant to PM you again without running the risk of it not being "Forthcoming" again. Try the link in the thread above and you will be able to download one.

Cheers,

I am sure the XR Club is very happy to go out of its way to accomodate new members and certainly following up potential new members is not a hassle but more a pleasure as we would all like to see the club expand and grow. The attitude of the club should be warm and welcoming so it is not really pleasing to read the underlying tone in the above post. I for one and am not going to reccomend this club to any more of my friends if they are going to get treated disrespectfully.

I know for a fact that my other potential member and potential sponser also did not hear back from the club and is now looking at other clubs to affiliate himself with.

Perhaps the feedback that we can all gain from this is that a link in your Signature to the application form maybe a good idea to make it easier for new members to find us. Because lets face it - the club needs new memberships and we should be going out of our way to encourage people to join.

The unfortunate side of any forum is that sometimes a post can be interpreted (taken) the wrong way.

I read Kens post and didn't give it a seconds thought and I know, without wanting to put words in his mouth, that Ken would not want his post to be taken the wrong way.

I'm sure you, and hopefully all the members, do know that we want to go out of our way to do what makes the current and any future members happy, so I'm more than happy to post, e-mail or drop membership forms personally to anybody who is interested.

Shoot me a PM, send an e-mail to info@xrclub.com or events@xrclub.com, or pass my mobile number onto your friends (bottom of club e-mails) and I'll ensure they get a form and any information they are after.

PS. Look forward to seeing you at MP and joining forces against those pesky 6's. ;)

Ken while you are doing your sums...Could you please give us an idea of how much it might be if we go ahead with a smaller amount of people....I know that we (Rob and I) would be prepared to pay more than the $50.00 quoted and i'm sure others would too just an idea i would hate to see it cancelled, Rob needs to feed his inner hoon....

Hey Guys,

Well things are looking up. I just did a tally and we had 20 Cars (that is if all that say they are coming deposit their money). We need another 8 cars to cover costs at $50.00 or another 5 cars for around $56.00 per car.

I think we will be right and things should sort themselves out over the next week or so. I will be going ahead at this stage with the planing. I have set up a computer spread sheet that we will use so we can tally the scores on the day and announce a winners at the end of play (the Trophy is engraved with the Sixes already). Again it will be a great day and a good night afterwards at the Horse and Jocky. Drew - no red fizzy drinks for you this time.

Cheers,

Ken
