Default Can anyone tell me what series this block is?

im getting some rods and ford are telling me AU1 and AU2 have different piston sizes and the rods are different also. au2 rods are 50 a piece and au1 are 66.

block number is: JGWAYC 53620

Either one should fit, it's the same block.

The differance is the one has a longer rod, you need the piston to match this rod as the pin height is differant and the skirts are moly coated. Pretty sure S2 had the longer rods.

when i ordered new pistons for the AU rods i had i didnt get asked if it was a series 1 or 2 they just gave me AU and the fitted...best thing to do would be to call up and engine shop and see if there is a different part number for AU 1 and 2 in the ACL piston book.

what rods will fit an e-series piston? ford want 90 a rod for ef-el, 50 for au2 rods, 55 for xr6t. does anyone have any info if the au1 rods will fit the e-series pistons or the au2?
