Smile a few thankyou's

Well it finally happened.. after three and a half years my XB coupe was registered today :

for those that are unaware its been a project of mine for those 3.5yrs, bought as nothing more than a bare rolling shell. theres a thread in the projects section somewhere..

Anyway, back to the point of this thread, I'd like to thank a few people, for various reasons

I have to thank the guys that run this place, giving me an oppurtunity to share the story and progress of my car, and an invaluable source of information..

All (well, most of : ) the guys that post in the clevo section, you guys are always happy to help out no matter how basic/simple the questions are.. sometimes the answers are even helpful! ;)

everyone thats posted encouraging/praise type posts in my project thread. All the other guys with project threads will agree, reading posts like "your car looks awesome", "you're doing a good job", and especially "you've inspired me" help no end, and make us want to do an even better job And also make us feel better when things are going wrong or not to plan..

those are the general ones, the next few are a bit more specific.

theres a few guys that have made things a lot more bearable for me while doing this car..
Gammaboy (Bish), Falcon Coupe (Nick), Brenx (Brendan) and Nugget378 (Tony) have been there for me with everything from info on parts, engine specs, building tips etc to awesome sources of humour when things were going badly (eg temporarily losing the car). Bish is also a top drinking partner
you guys are all top blokes and I appreciate everything you have done for me. And sorry for all the random MSN messages like "how do I do this?" :

and then there's my amigos Dan (walkinshaw) Dave (sourbastard) and Baz (Barry_v)
These guys have been there for me everystep of the way. Dave may not be the most mechanically minded person in the world but he's always there to lend a hand, can lift damn heavy things, and can make anyone laugh in even the most depressing situations.. Dan (when he's in town lol) is always keen to get stuck in to anything on the car, knows almost everything and has a similar sense of humour to dave... an evil duo at the best of times :
and Baz.. meh...

lol just kidding... Baz is an absolute legend as far as i'm concerned... for a young guy, he knows way more than he should... when it comes to doing things to cars nothing is daunting, it just "well why are we waiting, lets just do it". Apart from me he has done more work on my car than anyone. He knows as much about it as i do lol.. I've lost count of all the times he's stayed back at my place to get something done, when he was supposed to be elsewhere. Well, I think you get the point

People say all the time 'I couldn't have done it without you', but with these guys it's an understatement. Without them the car would still be a bare shell _

Thanks guys

and finally, the one person who has supported me throughout this (and a whole lot more), and has allowed me to do (and spend : ) so much, my beautiful wife Lori. I cannot put in to words how much I appreciate everything she has done for me.. the sacrifices she has made so I can buy parts, the nights alone inside while me and the guys work in the shed, etc etc etc. She's my whole world, even more important than my car _2:

thanks baby, you're the best :

ok ok, let the cheesiness cease :hihi:

but yeah, Thanks everyone!! :

All the help and advice Phil has found the time to give me, amidst working on this project, its a credit to his dedication and personality, and he sure deserves every moment he'll get behind the wheel of this beast.

Congrats to Phil, and the tireless (often sleepless) three amigos, I'll have to start cruising again now this coupe is on the streets. Really looking forward to seeing it - but not as much as you no doubt are looking forward to driving it.
