Would there be magnesium components under the bonnet which would burn so brightly?

They were just testing the latest anti theft device.
If you get hijacked and they drive off in your car, you just open an ap on your smart phone and press the FU button.

funny thing is -they had to get a bobcat in to scrape up the remains as you can't leave anything in the Park.

I suspect Ford will release some information about the 2016 Super Duty soon to wash out all the attention this is getting. If you Google "2016 Super Duty," this fire is about all you see.

So if it was a 'Super Duty' it would have been V8 model yeah, not Ecoboost V6?

Awesome place Death Valley. Drove through it in a brand new black convertible mustang a couple years ago. It was a balmy 51 degrees! Sure glad I didn't suffer the same fate!

The way that went up I'm thinking the fuel line was damaged somehow and sprayed the motor, maybe something got snagged on the the catalytic .....caught and burnt through the fuel line ?
Be interesting to see what they come up with. |

it was a fuel system development car so that's as likely an explanation as any.
