Nothing much out of the ordinary this month. Ford Numbers - EcoSport 101 Escape 293 Everest 369 Falcon 1 Fiesta 4 Focus 104 Mondeo 193 Mustang 569 Ranger 4x2 417 Ranger 4x4 3094 Transit 217 Just wish Ford would push harder with Ranger 4x2. I know they don't want to peruse lower profit models but I feel there is great value in having the Number One bragging wrights.

Commodore 663
Equinox 300 Focus is in run out (104) so hopefully the new model is here early next year and Escape after that. Looking like those two will be more like Mazda 3 and CX-5 ...hopefully the sales will be similar. At least Ford isn't sitting on a mountain of stock... Last edited by jpd80; 05-11-2018 at 07:36 PM. How many of those Commodore sales were VFII's?

All of them, VFII stock was considered extinguished a couple of months back.

The scary thing is as woeful as Holden is right now.
They were only 106 vehicles in sales behind Ford for the month.

Many of those will be SA Police units plus hire fleets would now be replacing the VF.
Like many here I have yet to see a ZB although I did think I may have saw one a few months ago but not confirmed as it could have been anything as it didn't stand out. Their problem is the public aren't buying them in decent numbers to the extent Holden recently cancelled production as there holding paddocks are full. |

maybe they are old ads taking a while to be withdrawn... (The only accurate way would be to ask a dealer to look up how many are still available) Last edited by jpd80; 05-11-2018 at 11:23 PM. |

Yes I get the hunting profit idea ford is running ATM by aiming for higher profit models, but that gap shows how much ford relies on ranger ATM, what's fords next best model, mustang at 550 something numbers? I just hope ford management here don't fall into the trap as time goes on with ranger and become vain enough to think that it's ranger, it will sell and that they keep improving it and not just minor tweaks here and there. Does anyone have the monthly breakup of models sold by ford and holden?

To a point maybe, but I don't fully agree, if that were 100 percent true, would we not benefit from all the options that the us mustang has in Australia?

Ford has some new product coming out so it's not all doom and gloom.
Has the Acadia been released yet? And if so how has it sold? |

That should be fair enough however I'm not sure, what role/hindrance if any, our ADR requirements have in this case...tbh (as I've repeated before and hope is changed one day) it's our ADR's and the cost of compliance of a car locally for all the possible variants that holds us back to an extent as consumers for choice, plus not all things for Mustang are designed for a RHD install iirc. It should be "if it passes EU or US or Japanese regs" then maybe it should be good enough for us...unless there is something that is just not safe enough which I cannot see existing.
