Default DVD collections

I was packing some of my stuff ready to move to Brisbane next week and saw my DVD collection, which got me thinking..
Does anyone else have a huge DVD collection? (Is just over 200 DVD huge?) Is it primarily one genre? etc.

Mine is about 1/2 anime (that japanese animation stuff).

What do you guys like to watch?
(I thought of posting lists, but mine is a few pages...)

Id have close to 200 hundred dvds aswell. Although Ive only bought maybe 10 in the last 9 months. Like others Ive ran out of room plus there hasnt been much worth buying lately and I already own all the movies I wanted so I doubt it will grow much more.

I think we're nearing the 400 mark, I stopped counting after we got to 300. Funny, I can still never find anything I want to watch though. :

No specific genre although there is NO anime.

I tip the scales around the 200 mark and the closest I've got to anime would be Kill Bill. :P

Are LDs better quality than DVDs? Just curious e

I've never counted them, but I guess around the 150 mark. Movies, TV show box sets and a few car related docos.

I have never counted my DVD collection, however, I do travel to China alot for business, so every trip adds about 50 or 60 to the collection. I have been to China 7 times in the past twelve months, I am here now, so my list is forever incresaing.
I would guess the 500 mark has come and gone.

SOME GOOD MOVIES I HAVE INCLUDE:
MAD MAX 1-3
Nightmare On Elm Street BOX SET
Night Rider series 1 and 2
Full Metal Jacket <-Gotta Luv That Movie
Terminator 1-3
Rocky 1-5
Running On Empty <- Great Movie
Just to name a few.

Hehehe, I'd make our DVD database available on the net, and then post a link to it. Or I could just do a dump of the contents of the database. But considering I doubt everyone wants to know what DVDs we've got, and I doubt we've got every single DVD in the database, I'm not going to bother

That's a good point, 'screeners' with dodgy sound and video quality don't count. :P

Besides, for those of us who have large collections of original DVDs, maybe it's not a good idea to list what we've got and how many - after all, sadly you never really know who is reading, and if they recognise your car from another post, then see it parked at your place or leaving your place, and decide they want one or 50 of your DVDs... Call me paranoid if you want, but I'd rather be safe then sorry...

wow. I've got the Futurama Box sets and all the family guy dvd's, plus a few random movies.
Ditto. Family Guy, Simpsons, Buffy+Angel Box sets etc.

We have a range of stuff from comedy, horror, musicals etc to whatever.

No anime on dvd but I do have a bit on VHS (Ninja Scroll, Wicked City, Raging Bull, primarily gorey stuff).
