Default Farewell E Series

Tonight I sold my EL XR6 and it is now time to bid farewell for now to a very fine range of Ford Falcons, its all I have ever owned but cannot fault any of the ones that I have had over the years:

1992 EB Fairmont
1995 EF XR6
1996 EF Fairmont Wagon
1993 ED Fairmont
1996 EL XR6

Good speed to you all and please keep the spirit of the E series alive and well.

Cheers

Why? It could be said getting a loan on a 6 cylinder car in these uncertain economic times isn't a smart move either.

The beauty of E-series is how cheap they are

Yep, why do you think I still drive an EA? Not because of it's quality engineering (or lack of) but because it's cheap and seems to handle any abuse I throw at it pretty well. I'll get a new car when I can afford it, without a loan!

Meh, 7 cars later, from AU3 to HSV, I'm back in an $3000 Falcon, by choice mind you. Cheap cars are fun

lol too right....... cost of repairs on a BA is far more than an E-Series

I have always wanted a XR6T but knowing my luck the turbo would blow and repair bill would be more than buying an E-Series outright
