Default Climate control playing up

Just wondering if anyone knew what it means when the display on the climate control flashes three or four times when you turn it on? After the flashing stops it all seem to work properly. Car is an EB2 Fairmont.

Cheers.

its a code for a climate control system fault, to do a a diagnostic - press and hold the off button and floor button, all of the display should light up. it then goes through checking the system and at the end i think a number comes up

Thanks for your help guys. I think it is one of the flaps jamming up aswell as sometimes it blows hot air out the top of the dash (demister) even when the climate control is off and if you turn it on while it is doing this all you can control is fan speed. I done a diagnostic and it came up with "E2". Anyone know what this means?

Cheers.
