Default LED Tail-lights

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/19-LED-Stop-T...QQcmdZViewItem

Anyone had a crack at these? What brand can you recommend?

My sub keeps blowing up my incandescent bulbs in the tail-lights, I'm sick to death of it! :

Yeah they are. The LED's are wired up inside a normal globe fitment as in the pic... I made one a while back from a jaycar kit, which used the base from a normal globe (with the wiring/resistors stuffed inside etc).

Never seen one myself, but i assume ok. The new LED traffic lights seem to shine ok in bright sunlight.

Default LED Tail-lights

Hi - save your money I tried them on one side and a normal bulb on the other. They are not as bright as the normal bulbs, but hey it is your choice. I mean they do work, just not as bright as the original filament type bulb. :1syellow1

Yeah it depends on what LED's are used. Obveously the cheaper ones will be 5hit compared to the more expensive ones.

i put a set of LED brake globes in my car and they are sooo bad, they are really really dim and you can hardly see them...i took mine strait out and put the old ones in.

if the LED's in those are ALOT brighter than it might be fine

I've got them in my tailights, Trouty did a big buy on them a while ago, my staza hasn't blown these either and I highly recommend them.

The buy I did was with the 24-LED model. The extra LEDs shine backwards to illuminate the reflector housing. By comparison, the 19-LED will appear as a tiny circle of light in your reflector housing. Better models again are now available such as the superflux 20-LED light tower, though the ultimate solution is replacing the reflector and innards of your tail light housing with a PCB of superflux LEDs.

Here is a video of my car with 24-LED brake lights, 20-LED light tower indicators and 5-LED number plate lights:

There was a forum discussion on the topic recently here:

An excellent forum for discussion (currently down) is:

Buyer beware!
