Default Au ford II coil pack

has anybody had problem with coil pack ? ive put 3 pack this year, is it because it a aftermarket pack or where the pack is seated is it always hotter underneath there ? or do i need to move the pack somewhere else ?.. thx.

Welcome to the forums...

I bought an ebay one and it lasted about 6 weeks.

Unfortunately it crapped out whilst we were on our way up north so a Repco replacement (also aftermarket) was all I could get on the day. It has lasted a couple of months so far with no probs.

I've got a Ford one ready to go on so I'll just see how the Repco one goes.

You may have been unlucky but it's a reasonable proposition that aftermarket may not be as reliable as original.

I bought a Delphi brand coil pack from ebay for $100 about 3 months ago and havent had any issues to date - touchwood.
