Just wondering if the best racing team is going to be at the AMRS race at wakefield on the 25th (next weekend). The radicals are going to be out there racing as well.
Also does anyone know the pricing on the ST's gearbox cause mines making some bad bad noises :

Yes they'll be there. I've heard from the Team in the last few days and they're confirmed runners.
I'll be there too!

The ST gearbox is about $8,000 if I remember correctly from what Best Racing was saying at Phillip Island

Hi All,
Yes we will be competing at the AMRS round at Wakefield this weekend. We will be competing in Class B up against the peuegot, hyundai, mitsubishi and clio. We have been invited by PTCC to participate, thought it was a good opportunity to have a run & drive at a wakefield raceway again (given this year was our first time). Check out who else is competing on the ptcc website. (http://ptcc.ozspeed.net/). At this stage have not been advised of the event schedule, once we know will post it here. If anyone is at the event make sure you come & say Hi! Regards, Darren Best |

Well BEST RACING did kick some butt! Despite an errant Green Pulsar causing some damage to the might ST170 in one of the earlier races the car held together (Darren did too!) to claim 3rd Outright in the last race of the weekend. WELL DONE GUYS!!
The Team had some "interesting" reactions from some competitors throughout the weekend. (I feel) that they quite surprised at how well Darren and his ST170 goes. It was great to meet up with Blue ST170 again. The RADICAL Racecars are a credit to your Family's Team. BTW I spotted the privately-entered RADICAL on the trailer in Goulburn this morning. Must have stayed overnight. BRING ON 2007 and the Bathurst 12 Hour. I can't wait.

Hi All,
Check out AMRS website for information round up of the weekend , there is a event by event report. Just for you information Darren was talking today with Ben Beazley, Ford Motorsport Media Manager just letting him know that we won the series, his reaction "was not even aware that a focus was even racing let alone won!" I guess he does not watch tv, attend race meetings or read auto action? After the weekend, Frank has already commenced pulling off (Monday am)the damaged panels and checking for any other damage, we hope to have it all finished by Dec 17th fun day. It was good to catch up with Eddie & Mark on the weekend. Treena |

Hi All,
Update on Focus Repairs. * Parts (panels, bumber, etc) arrived on Friday * Panels removed & car loaded on Saturday on the trailer * Darren and Frank transported the Focus to Melbourne to the panel beaters, to have panels replaced / painted and other dints to be removed from the car. All going well the focus should be looking sharp again just in time for the fun day. Treena |

Saw the coverage on SBS from the weekend last Sunday. They didn't show the interview that Daniel Gibson did (on the dummy grid), neither did they show BEST RACING when they were going through the spiel regarding the competitors in the PTCC. But the races they did show, the car got a good showing.
Hope all goes well with the repairs and that the ST170 will again look a million bucks.
