He was found with slashed wrists and a bottle of pills. That was according to the Herald Sun.

Probably stressed out/depressed I suppose. A friend just showed me a link to the story and thought it might be on here.
Gotta feel for the guy if he felt like doing it. He's a funny man, so it seems strange. Oh, and he's not going out with hudson anymore.

Owen Wilson 'facing gruelling detox'

The Wedding Crashers star was in serious condition at St John's hospital in Los Angeles yesterday after his brother Andrew reportedly discovered him attempting suicide and called an ambulance. His condition has since stabilised, and today the 38-year-old is expected to be moved to the Cedar-Sinai Hospital to "be detoxed", Star Magazine reports. Although there has been no official confirmation of the suicide attempt, the National Enquirer claims that the actor was found lying next to an empty bottle of unidentified pills with his wrists slashed. Members of Owen's family, including his actor brother Luke, have reportedly been seen coming and going from the hospital. Santa Monica police would only confirm they responded to the apartment block where Wilson lives for a "medical assistance call". "Due to HIPAA medical privacy laws, no further information is being released," a spokesperson said. Wilson, rumoured to be a notorious bachelor, split up with actress Kate Hudson in June.

Well, I didn't see that one comming. The impression I had of him is that he seemed like a really well grounded guy from what I'd seen in interviews etc.
Just goes to show, that big black shadow can affect anyone. Get well soon Owen.

The National Enquirer broke this news, not even a real newspaper, more like a gossip column.
No surprise if he just had a bit to much to drink and the media twist it into a suicide attempt. |

Did anyone else here something related to this story in the news yesterday? I was at work and heard something on the radio about someone being blamed for his suicide attempt?
I heard a mention of Courtney Love hanging around the person as well?
