Default Nice simple Ford advert

This is a little advert that a guy emailed me from a dealership in the USA.

Nice, simple, clever, and in a few short words reminds people how long the company has been around.

In before "Shoulda put a Falcon there!"...if they did the advert here, they could use any Ford (most likely the highest selling model), as "Ford" doesn't just mean "Falcon".

I honestly hadn't even thought that it was 110 years...Harley Davidson makes a huge song and dance about how long they've been making motorcycles, and it's a wonder that car companies don't do the same.

Great simple ad.

Its a no brainer for the last model Falcon next year, an XK chopped into the FH and "Thanks For The Great Ride Australia" across the bottom.

Yep. Ford Fiesta (all models) = P plate Girl's car now. Doesn't matter if Kent Block tries to make them seem cool.

What I don't like about the above photo/ad is that it doesn't tell me how many facebook friends I can visit on one tank of fuel.

a 600bhp Fiesta isn't kool, ok.

Love how people pull the wee wee out of this ad. Some people are never happy.

What a disgrace to the old Model T to be pictured next to a hideous looking buzzbox.

Love the Falcon version though...

Looks are subjective though. Least it will sell unlike ...
But in my eyes I reckon it's a cool advert. And agree I like the falcon one aswell.

Too much advertisement for ford Australia, someone might get confused and think they want to sell a falcon.

If they're going by what's popular and sells and they want to localise it to Australia they should've used the Ranger.

I think Henry Ford would probably be proud of that hideous Buzz Box holding the UK market (and a fair chunk of the mainland European market) captive. Not to mention creeping up sales charts all over the world.

He would definitely be proud that Fomoco are leveraging their business interests properly to build cars like Fiesta (cars that people actually want) at a lower cost, for higher returns, all over the planet.

Oh you mean Ford of Europe that is bleeding money and shutting down plants etc?

The Ford name, especially in the US, is synonymous with large powerful cars and trucks, not small buzzboxes. IMO they should have found a more appropriate and fitting vehicle to use for that ad.

Who is to say that add wasnt use in other ways?

And Stevz Ford has a very proud history of small cars globally and I believe the market share for them in the US is actually growing aswell.

Yeah they may have 'been' synonymous for big yank trucks. But times are changing simple as that.
So not only are you a former Ford OZ CEO, you now are a Ford US historian aswell.

The car in the advert is fitting, trust you of all people to find a fault in the ad because it doesnt suit you. You will argue with anything just for the sake of it, you are nothing but a troll. No wonder you get banned once every few days, maybe someone should ban you permanently, i wish i were still a mod.

People have tried to be reasonable with you, me inc but your ablilty to push your own, often flawed agenda knows no bounds.

I only posted my opinion on the thread subject as people here are free to do. You are the one who is continually instigating the arguments and personal attacks. Basically what you are saying is that if my opinion does not align with yours then I am not allowed to post it?

If you don't like what I write then don't read it, simple as that, and I will not be responding to any more of your attacks in future.

When I first saw that my orange juice came out my nose when she said "and there's plenty of room for babies" or something like that, for a myriad of reasons.

That's a bit unfair...Ford of Europe is bleeding money because of the (very) hard times that all of Europe is facing. Don't worry, Mullaly will pull the European operations back into the black soon enough.

The Ford name WAS synonymous with large powerful cars and trucks, but times have changed. Ford (globally) is trying to shake the old image, and IMO the Fiesta is almost a modern Model T...a car for the masses, that shook up it's segment...it has just the right features, for a reasonable price.

A similar advert titled "50 years of performance and counting" with a '64 Stang chopped with a 2014 model would be cool though. Photo shoppers?
