I need some parts made up from either aluminium, mild steel, or whatever is easiest/cheapest to work with.
The parts I need are 50mm square, with a 35mm hole in the middle, and 4 5mm holes in each corner to act as mounting holes. These pieces need to be 11mm thick. I need 6 of them. Thickness is critical in this one, as is the 35mm hole. The other part I need is the same as above, but with a 25mm hole in the middle, and only needs to be approx 3mm thick. The thickness isn't overly important on this one, so I can give or take a mm. I need 8 of these. The 5mm holes can be ignored and drilled by myself later. Technical drawings are available if someone on here could help me out. Thanks Bob |

Thanks buddy!
Also since place does not come in 11mm and will have to be machined, I can get away with using 8 or 10mm steel and then using some shims(washers would do) to space the plate out from the next by the correct amount. It's to sandwich a bearing in between two plates of steel. |

Try the guys at JR Laser Cutting in Geelong. Darrens the owner there, not sure how much he would charge but should be able to laser cut 10mm MS easily, may even handle 10mm Ally. I dont have a laser machine in build at the moment otherwise I could help you out.

hey bob,
i have had a little poke around work to see want i could do for ya, but unfortunity i will not be able to do this for ya. Because we dont quite have a dedicated fabrication are as such, we dont quite have anything really suitable that i could use to make those things for ya. the stuff i can use would require to much machining to get it to size and thus to much material wastage and effort. You would be better off going else where. Sorry bout this mate. Good luck for it. Ben |

Thanks anyway mate.
I have a very generous person from another forum doing it for the price of postage. Can't really ask for a better deal than that! |
