A decade ago, there were a good few operators hauling cars/trailers/caravans point-to-point at fair rates. Typically three vehicles, maybe more if camper trailers.
What’s happened to this trade - I can’t seem to find similar services now? Surely caravans and trailers are still dragged along the Princes/M31/M1 etc all the time? I’m stuck with a registered, insured car I can’t fetch from Melbourne to Sydney myself, it is in need of a (complicated) timing belt and an hydraulic pump - so not exactly driveable long distances, but work I can readily tackle up here. Has anyone suggestions about haulage contractors? |

I’ve used Alans Unique car carriers to move trailers and race cars from Melbourne to Sydney.

Thanks hawke, will investigate.
Quite a few websites touting services, when you drill down to who it is behind, the results are “interesting”. One percenters and panel shops would seem to be among them. Almost certainly. |

It’s coming with Webtow next week, subject to Covid clearances and border permits. Thanks for all suggestions.
