From you post, you do have a problem...it's her. Think long and hard before you put a ring on that finger.

Depend on if you can justify it/what else your sacrificing because of it. There is a guy locally we service a few of his vehicles. He has two properties I know of locally each has 40+ vehicles including two identical jet boats, jet skis, etc etc. Both houses worth 10s of millions. Houses around the world, super yacht fully staffed all year round.
The thing is he can justify them, meanwhile I have one F6 as thats all I can justify owning. You need to know if your buying them due to wanting them or is it an addiction.

i have 1500sqm but only room in the driveway for 6
i'm selling the small boat, the big boat is not kept at my place and the bikes get the garage so there is room for 4 cars easy i will be building a big shed out the back and the GT & Kingswood will fit in there leaving 2 cars out the front so that should be acceptable

If it's not affecting your or her life in any way then it's no problem.

Well I have no kids so the toys are my kids. I'm not rich but least I class these as assets. I could sell them if I need to but I am comfortable. I still owe 355k on a 600 house.
Might have to borrow more on the house to build a shed but if I do it right it will still be an asset and make the house worth more money. Plus I am selling a boat and spare outboard so I'll more than pay for the kingswood and still have a little cash leftover

It becomes more of a problem when you start making project cars out of them and end up with multiple cars on stands in pieces for long periods awaiting money and motivation , in this house hold we call them floaters .

He who dies with the most toys wins
I have 2 project cars at the moment as well as 2 drivers, and 4 cars stored up in my shed, two of which are for sale (see signature) sold my XA sedan 2 weeks ago, only selling to buy others. Also have a now fully rebuild car trailer, box trailer, camping trailer, KTM dirt bike, horse float, John Deere Ride on and probably other creap I have not thought of. Does not affect my life, and gives me pleaseure, missus does not care as long as she has money to pay the bills and feed the family which has never been an issue. Don't have debts or loans for any of it so who cares what others think. I do have the room with a three car garage and 8 car shed on three acres

If you can have lots of toys and the wife is still happy then you have a win win situation.

What's a couple of days if you have been married for 20 years. She will get over it. Just remember to buy her some flowers on valentines day. By the way I had a bf v8 ute not a xr8 in de ja vue, didn't really like it when I bought but love it now. Had the front bar re painted and the spray painter said it had 5 percent red in it. Nice colour.

my deal with the missus that if i buy crap she gets 10% of the value as cash
so me buying a kingswood for $2500 i'd give her $250 but i'd tell her i got it for $1000 and give her $100.....but i'm selling my boat so she's getting nothing from this deal but a rusty brown holden filling up the driveway in place of the boat.

I sold a car last Friday and a friend asked me yesterday how was I coping with only eleven left to choose from.
I said I was fretting and very worried wondering if I’d done the right thing and I only hope when my new one arrives this week I’ll start to feel better. You can never have enough. |

For as long as I can remember I've always had one 'decent' car (might not be new but a tidy example of what it is) and then normally buy an old jalopy to mess with for a few months then flick it and buy another.
Since building our house we have gone to just one car between us, and it's bloody killing me haha. Currently looking at a nice early tickford as a possible easy project/weekender. |

After living on a farm for 30 years I had, 4 registered cars, one unregistered ute, 6 dead cars, 3 motor bikes, 4 trailers, and 3 sheds chock a block with carparts tools, building materials, and assorted junk.
Last year I decided that it was time to move to a 1/4 acre block in town with only a large double garage, shock therapy was needed! It took me 9 months and many trips to the tip and the scrap metal dealer to reduce it down to 4 cars and half a double garage full of tools and essential parts. I think I have been cured.
