Default LED Indicators in Standard Mirrors

Hi All
Thought I'd share a couple of pics of my latest mod, I've fitted LED Indicators into the standard mirror covers of my car, the LEDs are fitted from the back, sanded to match the mirror contours and then the mirror repainted. I masked the LEDs off while I built up the colour, then the masking was removed and a very light coat of the body colour sprayed over them before they were clear coated, the clear was then sanded down and recoated so that when the indicators are off the LEDs are all but invisible yet they show up nice and bright when the indicators are on. The whole process was a bit of a chore but I'm happy with the results.

Pretty clever! How'd you find the wiring for it?
I take it you're a fan of wing mirrors :

Happy to oblige... it's not a difficult mod, the hardest part is getting the mirror covers off and feeding the wires through the mirror pivot, the rest is pretty straight forward

Looks good mate. I prefer the wing mirrors with the clear lens personally, but great effort.

Not my thing either, but it's great that you had an idea, gave it a go, and got it to work.

Well done!
