Not exactly sure what your asking.

Might I suggest you go to www.aufalcon.com and in the articles section read "orphan no more". It might answer a lot of your questions already.

from memory VCT has 8KW more at the engine and has slightly different features (alloys standard, IRS and some other bits i cant recall)

check carsguide for the exact specs...

I've had a fair amount of experience with both vehicles, though never owned either.

They are actually very similar cars, with some strengths and weaknesses on both parts.

Bang for your buck, the HP is superior.
For refinement, the VCT is superior.

The VCT has a slightly more powerful engine, OTOH, it is a little heavier because of the IRS, so performance is actually a little worse in standard form.
Both engines lend themselves well to modifications, however the HP is cheaper and produces more power for the same money. The difference is not large, though the HP is always in front because of lighter weight and slightly more power.

Both cars handle very well, however on a poor road, the VCT is superior, it's easier to control, and is more comfortable in doing so. Opinions differ on which is actually quicker because of this, though reality is, there is little between them again.
On smooth roads, they feel much the same.

If I was in the market for a AU XR6, the choice wouldn't be decided on whether they are HP or VCT, as they are IMO, close enough to not be of any consequence.
The choice would be decided on which is in better condition, mileage, etc.

Anyway, just another persons perspective, of course YMMV.

Rick.
