I saw one at the Motorshow, I love em.
Looks and performance, what a package. Only thing I don't like is their price, as I could never afford one unless I sold the house and lived in it.

I have seen 3 in one day 2 of them were in chapel St and one was going down the freeway with a bunch of other European cars, lambo, Ferrari, maserati, on one of those hire, drive, swap car things. as far as I know there are only 20 or so of the R8's in Australia.
Just to make you cry, have a look at this link... http://www.autounleashed.com/creepy-...eet-in-germany

Seen one drive through here not long after they were released, hell that was a shock seeing that in Wagga so soon after release! Nearly had a crash turning my neck to have a another look! By far my favourite car at the moment!

What really surprised me about the R8 when I actually saw it driving on the road was how long it was. It looks even more beautiful and streamlined while driving on the road.

Too bad they can't use the twin turbo V10 from the RS6 in it, it would have turned it into an absolute weapon. They tried using it in a few prototypes but because of the huge heat they generate it resulted in more than a handful burning to the ground at the Nurburgring when they started to melt.

My boss has got a black one. Looks absolutely sensational sitting in the car park!! I didn't really realise just how wide they are till I saw it parked.... Nearly takes up the entire park space!!
Beautiful car, especially the clear screen above the engine! |
