welcome mate you have come to the right place have a look through some of the other builds as there are a few people you have completed or are completing the turbo project at the moment as for cheap and good quality ya cant really have both.

You can pick two out of the next 3 words that ya want ya car to be:

Cheap
Fast
Reliable

Ya cant have all three

MMmm, I dont think youll get it done cheap. With the gearbox conversion and to strengthen it, plus the turbo and everything tuned properly and so nothing breaks, I'd expect to be looking at around $15 000 plus.

Sticking with the auto may be better.

A standard manual won't like big boost for long.

Strengthened auto is arouns $2000 as well.
Then there are other driveline parts to take into account too.
Also you will need to think about decent brakes as well ... as the factory standard size really only does an adequate job to pull ip a slightly modded N/A Falcon.

Then there's mechanicals ... and if you want the engine to last as well ... it WILL need a rebuild/freshen up.

Oh ... and you will most lkely have to through out your cat back exhaust as well as you will need a larger full exhaust system as well (witha decent turbo manifold you will be looking a fairly decent $$$'s too).

Oh ... fuel system upgrades will need to be done too (fuel pump, pressure regulator, injectors, swirl tank ... and most likely better lines as well).

The list goes on .... ask Duffman about doing it on the cheap ... he found out the hard way and had to spend much more money than he anticipated replacing the cheaper/inferior/2nd hand parts to get it working right.
