I might be tripp'n but has anyone else noticed that the Ford Econetic Fiesta advert looks like it's filmed in the same underground carpark as in Mad Max, looks the same as under MFP headquarters where they a building the interceptor in the first film? I'm quiet sure someone could find them both and post them so we could see, hope this is not a re-post.

Goose: "Shut the gate on this one, Maxie. It's the duck's guts."
Barry: "Yeah, She's th-the the last of the V8's, she s-ss-sucks nitro. Eh-eh, Phase four heads, twin overhead cams, (Goose: Tell 'em about the blower, eh?) 600 HP through the wheels, with the blower. She's meanness put to music and the b itch was born to run!" Hear the original audio on this page: http://xaxbinterceptor.tripod.com/id23.html There's also pictures of the car in the underground garage on the next page. Steve

I've also noticed that at the start of a special episode of Test Drive last year when the FG was launched, it was also set in that car park or a similar looking one because of its arched roof design.

Where is that carpark? Has to be somewhere in Melbourne. The "Halls of Justice" are at what is now Scienceworks in Newport.

It's the carpark underneath the South Lawn at Melbourne Uni. Also the same location for that Mad Max scene.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ambrep/850639649/ Incidentally, Mad Max scenes also used the Chemistry building, and Scienceworks in Newport. |

The columns are best described as a martini glass shape, and were designed that way to allow room to have trees growing in the lawn above. |
