Default My Secret Admission

Hi friends,

After going both sides of the fence for many years, umming ad arring about whether i could do it, i have come here to announce i have just now put a deposit on an AU. It should be RW'd and ready to pick up by Saturday week hopefully. I waited to find the one that ticked at least most of the boxes i was after, and it certainly does.

I'll turn this into my build thread once it's in my driveway, and post up some pics. At that point I'll also tell you what it actually is, as i believe this would help the thread.

On a side note, does anyone have a link to an AU colour chart?

Stay tuned.

11 Fords, however the current EL and my last BA spanned over 3 years, i'm slowing down a lot and keeping the ones i love. The EL will be kept, the AU is to be a weekender and fill in for work when the bitchy EL breaks, as it does once a month. I could make a joke about that but i won't.

We do work at opposite ends of the same industry (not so much opposite, maybe parallel??), but otherwise unrelated (though I have been called mad by many!)

No i wouldn't, the first page of several build threads has a history of the cars owned prior, that's what this is. No need to get your knickers in a twist. I can't exactly shift time so everyone can find out already, i pick it up at this stage one week from tomorrow.

As i said, all will be revealed. And how is it 'supposed' lol? I wouldn't joke about buying an AU, that would be sick.

That is some collection - I didn't include our non-Fords though, so add in a Datsun 1200, Datsun 1600, HG Wagon, HR Sedan, Nissan Pulsar N13 and a VS2 Berlina and that makes 22 since 1986 for me/us .

I think we've just shown we're as bad as each other!

We have a light coloured AU with the S2/3 rear lip - I'm going for an Organza Fairmont - maybe Ghia (Hard to tell if it's I6 or V8 from the piece of the pic posted).
