Default ba smar bar same as au?

hey guys does anyone know if a ba smart bar is the same as an au?
will it fit on an au?

I'm going to say probably not. When I mounted the one on the wagon, it bolted through the radiator support panel and the main reason you can't just bolt a BA front on an AU is that the front rails and radiator support panel are different. That being the case it's not unreasonable to think that the bolt up points would be different at the very least.... but hey, I could just as easily be completely wrong, lol.

Definetly different but will fit, sort of. We because of "Cheap as" Taxi owners have fitted many AU smartbars onto BA's and BF's, but they are short on the wheel arch and not quiet the right shape. The BA smartbar will be a little wider and if fitting to early AU or Ute won't have the cutout for the front of the bonnet. The smartbar will also intrude into the wheel well and might cause tyre rubbing issues. Best find an AU item........ Later..........

thanks for the replies guys if i get it cheap enough ill see if it will fit.
also does it have to be fitted professionally because of the airbag sensors? or is it fine to do it in the backyard?
