Well done to all the Firies for a huge effort to protect lives and properties. We up here in the Blue Mountains are overdue for a big one and I reckon there'll be a lot of new residents that haven't seen a fire before *$#@ing themselves when it does eventuate. I've experienced the '68, '77 and '82 fires btw.
What about that SkyCrane!!

Good Stuff Yeti.
Which Brigade are you with? The wife and I are with Grose Vale, we finished our BF in early dec. We have 2 pages last week for people burning rubbish around our local area, right on national park. We both missed the Kurragong call due to been at work. Cheers Mark

Good Stuff Yeti, I am sure we will catch up around the traps. Both the wife and I are happy to be a part of RFS and have made some good friends. It kinds brings back the feeling of comradre, just like I felt with the army.
We are keen to get out and do our bit, but a feeling a little nervous. I am sure there will enough work over the following weeks. Cheers Mark

Good work mate, Have nothing but the upmost respect for all Rural fire fighters and firefighters in general, but those who volunteer to help out are true aussie legends.
Did I rear that right though, you drink down at the burn? Probably ran into you before if so.
