i have Focus 2003 Lx 2.0 Hatch, currently less than 40,000. Car is beautiful itself, but occationaly it has electrical problems, when the problem comes,
engine warning light & battery light on, the needles of tachometer and speedo falling down, but Odometer always working. When this problem comes, the car itselft is not affected, running on road still oK anyone can kindly offer assistance with this matter? |

yikes!.
If you need a new instrument cluster (that's IF, it's very unlikely) you'd be better off trying some wreckers, even some interstate ones will post parts. It's a bit fiddly to swap em out but it's not impossible. More likley a battery problem as would have been suggested in other threads.

Just make sure a replacement guage clusters not gonna cause the immobiliser to go crazy...

I have a '03 LR LX that has done 52k and haven't had any electrical problems at all.

Same dash fault found in UK's forum, so many people complain about this, they are in the process of approaching Ford regarding this as they believe it should be a recall as a 'manufacturing defect'.
