Default My new babies :D

Since i decided to overhaul my stereo, i decided i was more after a quality sound rather than just big bass, so i gave the rockford the toss and decided to get a sub setup more suited to SQ.

I was origionally looking at getting a pair of focal utopia 10's, but since then i decided i'd rather put that money towards other area's of the car and get something a little more friendly to the hip pocket.

In the end, i gave a pair of hertz HX-250's the go ahead...
Pics..

They are 450wrms single 4 ohm voice coil, so they've got a fair bit of balls. They are also the same company that make Audison (italian made), so their background is fairly knowledgable when it comes to quality sound.

Reason i chose these is that we setup a set of hertz splits into a mates skyline and were astounded at how good they sounded for their price range. From this we decided to audition their subs aswell, and found them equally as impressive, which then prompted both of us to each get a pair for ourselves. So if your after quality speakers at a decent price, i HIGHLY recommend looking into the hertz range...

Now that i have all the audio gear soughted, i can finally start planning out my new boot install

Dont know a lot about speakers these days but those bad boys look tough. Will be good to see the finished project once everything has been installed.

Mmmmmm Hertz, can't go wrong.

I wouldn't believe the price when i heard a pair, made me feel depressed that they sounded almost as clear as a set that were 3x the price.

i think steve was going to run 2 10" subs.

i almost got hertz splits back in the day... but got the PG's instead coz they were on special.. the subs look damn nice too

oh... and i can vouch for the sound of those splits in the skyline... sound deadening does wonders!

Steve, where can you get Hertz stuff? I haven't seen it about, but it sounds like it's worth having a listen.
